How to Arrange My Supervision?

Information session with Prof. Dr. Jutta Stahl for (prospective) doctoral candidates
Tuesday, October 28,  2025, 3 pm, online

The decision of who should supervise one's doctoral project is particularly important for (prospective) doctoral candidates.
However, finding a supervisory committee of three people can seem like a considerable hurdle for some who are planning to pursue a doctorate or have already started working on their dissertation before being officially admitted.

On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, starting at 3 p.m., (prospective) doctoral candidates can discuss directly with the chair of the doctoral committee, Prof. Dr. Jutta Stahl, what needs to be considered and taken into account when planning the future supervision situation, how a supervisory committee can be sensibly composed, and how best to proceed in the search for the right committee.

In the second part of the regular open Tuesday consultation hour of the Doctoral Office, Jutta Stahl will present the provisions of the doctoral regulations on the supervisory committee, explain possibilities for practical implementation, and answer questions from participants.

Like the usual consultation hour, the event will take place online via Zoom.
The usual consultation hour of the Doctoral Office on various topics will end at 2:45 p.m. on October 28, before the information session with the chair of the doctoral committee begins at 3:00 p.m.
