Online Peer Writing Sessions for Doctoral Candidates
The meetings are organised by the participants themselves and can be used for joint writing, but also, if desired and agreed upon, for discussing topics and issues relevant to the participants' doctoral studies.
Three meetings on weekdays::
Starting next week, the meetings will initially be offered online on the following dates:
• Mondays, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (or, by arrangement, 1 p.m.)
• Tuesdays, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
• Thursdays, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Trial date for a weekend writing session:
For those who are pursuing a doctorate alongside their professional careers and only have time to write on weekends, a meeting could also be held on the weekend.
Alina (Fahrenwaldt) and Monja (Knirsch) will be waiting for you to come and write on a trial basis on
• Sunday, 7 September 2025, from 9 a.m.
to write, and anyone who would like to join them is welcome to help start a regular Sunday group!

Face-to-face meetings:
Sometimes, meeting in person rather than just via Zoom can increase motivation and commitment.
Such face-to-face or hybrid meetings can take place regularly or irregularly as needed in the graduate school's seminar room:

It is best to discuss this among yourselves during the online meetings and then with the Graduate School (Gradueirtenschule-HF@uni-koeln.de).
Then it is usually possible to use the seminar room without any problems.
If no one from the Graduate School can be on site at the desired time, we can gladly organise access for the group in advance with a second key.
Can't find a suitable date?
Those who would like to write together but are unable to attend on the specified dates have the opportunity to participate in a similar format offered by the Graduate School for Teacher Education.
The latter has been offering a similar format for some time now, which we have used as a model.
