Organising the Final Phase

Information session with Prof. Dr Jutta Stahl
27 April 2026, 4.30–approx. 5.30 pm (online)

So you've finished writing your dissertation, and the hardest part is actually behind you!

To ensure that planning the official completion of your doctorate is as stress-free as possible, it helps to have a clear idea of what still needs to be prepared and done:

Doctoral candidates nearing the end of their studies can find out what lies ahead in the final phase – from submitting the dissertation through the oral defence to receiving the doctoral degree – and what they themselves need to do and organise, on 27 April 2026, 16:30–approx. 5.30 pm, from the Chair of the Doctoral Committee, Prof. Dr Jutta Stahl.
Jutta Stahl will outline the formal steps and procedures for organising the final phase and explain how the provisions of the doctoral regulations apply in practice (approx. 30 mins); she will then answer questions from participants (approx. 30 mins).

The event will take place online via Zoom; registration is not required.

The event will be held in German; English subtitles will be available via Zoom.
Questions from participants in English are very welcome, and English-language slides will be made available afterwards.
