Bewerbungsphase 10. Jahrgang EGP Mentoring - Ende 28. Juni 2026
Erste Generation Promotion Mentoring+ ist ein Angebot für Promovierende und promotionsinteressierte, fortgeschrittene Masterstudierende der UzK mit einem nichtakademischen Familienhintergrund. Ziel des Programms ist es die Teilnehmenden bei der Durchführung ihrer Promotion und der Bewältigung spezifischer Hürden zu unterstützen.
Dazu vermitteln wir allen Teilnehmenden eine*n fachnahe*n Mentor*in, die*der bereits promoviert hat und den nichtakademischen Familienhintergrund teilt. Mit ihrer Mentorin oder ihrem Mentor können sich die Mentees austauschen und ganz offen über Fremdheitserfahrungen im Fach oder gegenüber der Familie, Karriereentwicklung oder alle anderen Fragen rund um das Thema Promotion sprechen.
Darüber hinaus gibt es für die Mentees ein verpflichtendes Veranstaltungsangebot. Die Workshops finden auf Deutsch statt, das One-to-One Mentoring kann jedoch auch in Englisch durchgeführt werden. Die Veranstaltungen finden teilweise online, teilweise in Präsenz statt.

On May 13, we celebrate the importance of doctoral research across Europe by the first European Doctoral Day.
Also at the Universität zu Köln, we are marking the occasion with a dedicated event 'How to Realize a Research Stay Abroad' on May 19 as part of the European Doctoral Day to highlight and support our doctoral researchers.
