Workshop: Agile toolbox for innovative work in a scientific context (in German)

Dr. Laura Mählmann,

2 days: Wednesday, 12.06. and Thursday, 13.06., 09:00-16:00/17:00 each day

As part of the "Agile Toolbox" workshop, you will spend two days immersing yourself in a working world beyond scientific methods and ways of thinking and, using practical examples, test many interesting procedures and tools that will help us to look at and solve problems and challenges from a different perspective.

The Design Thinking method in particular will play a special role:

Design Thinking is a creative method for developing innovative solutions to complex problems.

Following a theoretical introduction, we will carry out a practical simulation of the method during the workshop using a simple example in order to then deal intensively with real problems from the group.

We will navigate together through a structured process to understand the problem in more detail, generate ideas, create prototypes and receive feedback so that successful solutions are ultimately developed.

Day 1: Understanding and defining

On the first day, we will take an in-depth look at the problem we want to solve. We will gain deep insights into the needs of our target group, identify challenges and develop a clear definition of the problem we want to solve. Through empathetic listening and observation, we will take the perspective of our users to fully understand their needs and requirements.

Day 2: Generating ideas, creating prototypes and testing

On the second day we will get creative! We will develop ideas, apply brainstorming techniques and create prototypes to visualize our solution. We will then test our prototypes to gather feedback and iterate to further improve our solution.

Through interactive exercises, teamwork and guided discussions, we will experience the principles of design thinking together and gain practical skills that you can apply in your scientific and personal environment.

We look forward to spending two inspiring days of discovery, collaboration and creative problem solving with you!
